What can we offer?

Vincent Memorial is a college-preparatory institution.

Our rigorous academic program is designed to prepare our students for post-secondary education.

VMCHS provides a curriculum in which students can investigate a broad educational spectrum. Students are required to take a full load of seven courses per semester. Each course is worth five (5) units per semester. A student may earn thirty-five (35) units in the first semester and thirty-five (35) units in the second semester for a total of seventy (70) units per school year. A student must earn a minimum of 260 units to graduate.

    1.Successfully pass entrance exam for each subject.

    2.Must have good conduct. (NI’s are unacceptable)

    3.Parent/guardian permission. Class selection form must be signed by parent/guardian and submitted.

    4. Fulfill the prerequisites for the course.

    • Honors Courses can help prepare you for specific college majors and career paths. For example, AP courses in STEM subjects can give you a head start in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

  • Advanced Placement is a program in the United States and Canada, created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students.

    • College Credits. One of the key advantages of taking AP courses is the opportunity to earn college credits. This means you may be able to skip introductory college courses and potentially even graduate early, saving both time and money during your college years.

    • Taking AP courses can assist in achieving a great impression on college admissions.

    • Achieving high scores on AP Exams can help you distinguish yourself from other college applicants.

    • AP courses can help prepare you for specific college majors and career paths. For example, AP courses in STEM subjects can give you a head start in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

  • There is NO charge for taking AP courses, but at the end of each, an Exam must be taken which has a College Board Student Fee.
