Service Hours Requirements

Acceptance Letter
1
Before beginning their community service, students must submit a completed Letter of Acceptance, signed by the organization where they intend to complete their service hours.
Vincent Memorial Catholic High School will review and approve each organization to ensure it aligns with the educational objectives of the community service program.
Important: VMCHS is not responsible for any service hours completed at an organization that has not received prior approval. Students may complete a maximum of 10 service hours per organization, without exception.
Community Service Hours at VMCHS

Students may complete a maximum of 5 community service hours at VMCHS through the following activities:
School sporting events, PTG events, and other school-organized activities.
Students who participate in Day of Mercy will receive 3 community service hours.

Upon completing their community service, students must submit a properly completed Community Service Hours Log documenting all hours performed.

Final Presentation
Based on their self-evaluation form, students must prepare a final presentation that includes:
A Google Slides presentation.
Answers to all self-evaluation questions.
Photographs and/or videos documenting their community service experience.
The completed presentation must be emailed to servicehours@vmchs.com .
Community service hours will be officially cleared once the student's final presentation has been reviewed and approved.
Students who have not received community service clearance will not be permitted to advance to the next grade level.
